Martine, your host for the stay, fell in love with this region many years ago and has since then turned that passion into a profession. The core of founding Pike Paradise lodge stems from Martines’s desire to showcase the landscape, people, and beauty of the region while at the same time offering affordable and family-friendly accommodation. It’s fair to say this has been achieved!
At Pike Paradise, there are in fact three types of self-catering lodging available. The biggest option is the award-winning Pike Paradise Lodge which sleeps up to 8 in 4 bedrooms, second is Perch Haven that sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, and the smallest Fisherman’s corner can also sleep up to 6 however this is split with two double sofa beds and one double bedroom. All the lodges have a rustic homely feel and are fully equipped to ensure your stay is comfortable.
The real highlight of the lodge is of course the location. You’ll never be bored during your stay simply because there is so much to do and see. In the summer cycling is extremely popular as are forest walks, fishing, and bird watching. The midnight sun over the beautiful lakes of the region is one experience you won’t want to miss. On the other hand, in winter, you can expect to do all the activities the region is known for such as Northern Lights hunting, skiing, ice fishing, dog sledding, wild swimming, and driving on ice.
There’s also a local village shop and café nearby where you can stock up, enjoy some local cuisine, or simply strike up a conversation with some locals.
