Austria

Walking the Austrian Alps is a wonderfully enchanting experience, with clean, crisp air, perfect mountain scenery, wildflowers, snow-capped mountains, blue lagoons, waterfalls, idyllic trails and the soothing sound of tinkling cowbells.  Mountain huts are strategically dotted around the Alps. Although called huts these actually resemble small hostels, where visitors can book a room, or simply enjoy a delicious plate of traditional home cooked food and traditional Austrian beer.  Easily negotiate the trails due to a well-appointed system of signposts directing the way.
