Statera Restaurant is located in Miraflores, one of Lima’s most stylish neighbourhoods. It is the creation of Peruvian-Greek André Patsias, a world-class Chef who previously worked for top-class eateries. Statera means equilibrium and Andre based the concept for the restaurant on the relationship between nature, products, people and the landscape of Peru.
Andre cooks native products using a combination of ancient and modern Peruvian techniques to redefine modern culinary culture- and with astonishing results. The many years of research have paid off and Andre is rightly crowned the bearer of Peru’s new generation of Chefs.
Statera boasts a minimalist design that is exquisitely elegant, with mood-lit dark timber floors and a stand out marble bar. The place is small but spacious, with an open kitchen where Andre’s culinary skills are on display for everyone to witness
The dishes are well-executed and deceptively simple. They offer unexpectedly mind-blowing bursts of flavour, owing to rare Peruvian ingredients found in remote parts of the country. Guests can choose from a six or ten-course meal or take their pick from the a la carte menu. The octopus is one of the signature dishes, bursting with the unusually aromatic flavours of native herbs.
There is a selection of delicate wines from many different parts of the globe that have been specifically chosen to pair up with the dishes on offer, thus creating instantaneous culinary alchemy in your mouth.
This is fine dining at its best: modern décor and a very inventive combination of flavours paired up with excellent wines.
