On the edge of Dedham Vale, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty on the Essex-Suffolk border in east England lies the beautiful Dedham Vale Vineyard. Spread across 40 acres of vines and woods, the area is famous for its picturesque Essex countryside, full of green pastures and beautiful quaint woods.
Visitors can join the brilliant wine tours that take place daily, starting at 11:00 am and lasting for up to three hours. Our expert guides will lead you through the vineyard and share their specialist knowledge of the different wine varieties available on site. Learn intricate details about what goes into the maintenance of a successful winery and the history of English wine through the ages
In our tasting barn, our guide will instruct you on wine tasting basics. Learn how to use your sense of sight, taste and smell for maximum enjoyment and to appreciate five different wines more fully.
End your experience with a buffet-style lunch or stay longer to explore the vineyard and enjoy the fresh air and magnificent countryside- or sit down by the enchanting lake and take in the beauty of your surroundings. Make sure you head to the wine store to buy your favourite bottles of wine before you return home.
Throughout the year, you can also choose to attend a range of events and courses, like bee-keeping for beginners and wreath-making workshops.
