County Clare is a natural wonder, full of breath-taking sites.

It’s home to the world-famous Cliffs of Moher, one of Irelands most visited natural attractions. Set at over 700 feet above the Atlantic the cliffs make for a great coastal walking route.

Past this County Clare’s other big attraction is the Burren. A stony karst landscape that is home to a unique blend of Arctic, Alpine and Mediterranean flora and plenty of archaeological sites. The most recognisable is the Poulnabrone Dolmen, located in a desolute point in the Burren, these standing stones are the oldest megalithic monuments in Ireland.

If you’re interested in history, then Scattery Island is a must visit. A small monastic settlement that is home to a functioning light house, a tall round tower and six ancient church ruins. It’s a great family day out and there a several ferry trips a day from Kilrush Marina.
