United Kingdom, 07/08/2020: The Travel & Hospitality Awards is proud to announce that Camp Bastian Mikumi has been nominated for the Africa awards programme.
Nominations remain open for further entrants for the Villas/Bungalows/Chalet/Lodge categories for 2020. To be put forward please submit a nomination.
Recipients of Travel & Hospitality awards were scrupulously selected based on the aggregation of reviews from multiple third-party sources. Selected by a panel of experts who analyze submission material, review customer feedback and compare each entrant on their given specialty, each winner is awarded for the details that make them distinct.
To be nominated Camp Bastian Mikumi have already demonstrated outstanding customer feedback. Camp Bastian Mikumi is a family owned business, established in 2015. We are still developing our camp by expanding and improving our facilities every day.
Our aim is to make a true difference to our guest while staying with us in Camp Bastian and in Tanzania in general. We are striving to make our guest to feel at home by creating a warm and friendly atmosphere in our camp.
The camp consists of nine cottages and a campsite. All is located within the unique and natural settings of Camp Bastian. So no matter which type of accommodation you choose, you will wake up listening to uninterrupted sounds of beetles, crickets and birds.
During your stay at Camp Bastian, you will meet our well trained and service minded staff. The team is always at your service and your special needs are at our greatest concern. We have employed more than 40 local permanent staff not to mention casual laborers. This is our way of injecting money back into the community and improving the welfare of its people.
We are serving homemade food made from locally grown and produced products. Our food is always freshly made, and every day we are preparing a special menu with some options to choose from. It is important for us to avoid food waste as well as ensuring that the food we are serving is fresh and tasty. Our menu is based on these principles and you will taste the difference!
How to find us
As we are located close the to A7 main road it is very easy to find the camp. If you come from Dar es Salaam by private transportation, you will find a sign board on your right hand side. If you come by bus then asked to be dropped off at the Mikumi weight bridge, and we will be there to pick you up, but please contact us in advance.
