Questionnaire THA 2019
I am from La Pocatière, Québec, Canada. My first teenage job was as a information agent in a tourism bureau. Then during my university life (Faculty of Arts in Mass Media & Communications), I still worked side line in promoting our national Capitale, city of Ottawa. Then I left Canada and had the opportunity to work in different continents during 18 years with Air Transat Holidays. Other job opportunities in differents management positions (cruise & hotel industry) helped me gaining experience in every way. The ability to learn many languages was an advantage.. Now with the B&B, I travel « trough » people everyday! Managing an establishment takes good knowledge of clients expectations and be a good listener. Be up-to-date about the market, Professionalism, always beeing motivated and organized are the keys to success. New trends in the industry would be that travellers want to « take the time » to : rest, read, discover, eat and love! Alone, with family or friends, and be respectful to nature and be meet local people. My favourite destination would be Greece. But I haven’t seen the world yet! That is for my retirement! Sky is the limit : everything is possible! Travel Industry is so facinating and so much to discover. Have an open mind about the difference and be curious about what you don’t know! People need to travel to keep on living so contributing to their next vacation is a challenge.
