Antbear Lodge has been nominated
By the Travel & Hospitality Awards for 2020

United Kingdom, 07/08/2020: The Travel & Hospitality Awards is proud to announce that Antbear Lodge has been nominated for the Africa awards programme.

Nominations remain open for further entrants for 2020. To be put forward please submit a nomination.

Recipients of Travel & Hospitality awards were scrupulously selected based on the aggregation of reviews from multiple third-party sources. Selected by a panel of experts who analyze submission material, review customer feedback and compare each entrant on their given specialty, each winner is awarded for the details that make them distinct.

To be nominated Antbear Lodge have already demonstrated outstanding customer feedback. Antbear Lodge is situated in the Drakensberg region of KwaZulu Natal near to Giants Castle. What makes this lodge particularly special is that it offers accommodation in a luxury cave. This is an accommodation unit built under a rock. Glass doors open onto a wooden deck with hammock chairs and a spectacular view of the Drakensberg Mountains. This is a luxury eco experience. The cave is cozy and comfortable with features like a Jacuzzi spa bath and a fireplace and even has rock art on its walls.

Antbear Lodge also offers a private dining experience where they set up a table on the deck of your cave and you dine by candlelight under the stars.

Antbear Lodge is one of those smaller owner-run establishments with 15 accommodation units as either Mountain View suites or Garden view suites.

Sustainability and responsible tourism are a huge part of the ethos of our lodge and they subscribe as much as possible to the farm to plate concept. Antbear Lodge cooks all meals from scratch and have their own organic vegetable garden. They have our own chickens for eggs, cows for milk and bake their own bread and even make our their own cheese.

Antbear Lodge also offers horse trails ideally suited to beginners. Hot air balloon flights that launch from the lawn in front of the lodge and their newest attraction is a star gazing hammock camp where a local villager tells Zulu folk stories of the stars.

The area offers a lot with spectacular hiking trails with dramatic views and waterfalls. And then there is the spectacular bushman rock art where you can see some of the best examples in the world.
